Canon has a line of printers to which it calls its “all in one”. These printers can perform multiple functions beyond simple print jobs. Connect the power cord securely into the printer and the electrical outlet if the power is intermittent or completely absent. The power cord connects to the back of the Canon Pixma MP480.

Solve a paper jam if the printer stopped half a job. Search the jam near the rear tray or the paper exit slot. If you can see without opening the unit, remove the paper carefully and press the “OK” button on the printer. If you can not see the jam, turn off the printer and open the scanner lid. Locate and remove the paper. Press “OK” after being removed.

Select “Prevent loss of print data” if your print or copy job can not complete. Click “File” then “Print Options” in the program from which you try to print. Then click on “Page Setup” and in the “Prevent loss of print data.” Try to make a copy or print job again.

Free hard disk space if you copy or print job may not finish. Sometimes the lack of memory on your hard drive can cause the work to be suspended. Delete all unnecessary files on your disk to free up space and try your print job again.

Connect the USB cable to a different USB port on your computer if you receive an error message during a scan. Try scanning again.

Restart your computer if the scanner does not respond. Restart the computer can allow the restoration and solve problems with the scanner.

Change the resolution on your computer if the scanner is extremely slow. Opens the MP Navigator software installed with your printer. Click “File” and then “Scan Settings” to specify a resolution. This must be between 75 and 300 dots per inch (dpi or dots per inch in English).
